A cappella singing doesn’t have to end when 9-5 begins. We at the Voice Festival know that singing with friends, neighbours or colleagues is the perfect way to have fun, relax, develop your skills and unleash your creativity.
Our Community Programme embraces a range of education, performance and social activities designed especially for those who have discovered or developed their love of a cappella singing in their adult lives. There really is no excuse not to keep on singing!
Our workshops are an opportunity to meet, perform and learn both from each other and from the Voice Festival’s network of a cappella professionals and vocal experts.
Developed to meet the needs of your group, we work with you to determine which skills or aspects of your singing or performance that you would like to develop. We find the most appropriate workshop leader who will progress your group’s talents, making sure you have fun in the process. Whether you need help with vocal percussion, stagecraft, tuning, or arrangements, we can help!
In recent years, The Voice Festival has run an annual competition for Community groups. Participants received high-quality feedback from our experienced judges, the opportunity to win prestigious awards as well as special (often free or discounted) access to the Voice Festival’s year-round programme of events as part of the competition entry fee. See below for information on our brand new community event.
